What
it does
The role of the call logger is to
capture this constant stream of data for subsequent analysis. The call logger
generally runs on a desktop PC or dedicated server dependant upon the size of the
telephone installation. It takes the records which are output from the PABX and
stores them on to the hard disk.
Contrary to common
miss-conception, the call logger does not record the telephone conversations but rather
the data relating to a call. These records are then usually sorted to match up the
information relating to when the call started with the time that it finished so as to make
subsequent analysis quicker. Click here to see the
format of the reports which these systems can
provide.
